Hlapičina HNK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carlstadt F.C. the free kick. Carlstadt F.C.'s Teo Mel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Carlstadt F.C. from getting a goal against them. Zdenko Taslak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zdenko Taslak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teo Mel having to interfere. Milan Vusak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milan Vusak got free with Teo Mel in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Carlstadt F.C. defense, Milan Vusak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teo Mel. The Carlstadt F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teo Mel should have stopped the shot. After 30 minutes, Ljudevit Lacković mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carlstadt F.C. and the Hlapičina HNK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Carlstadt F.C.'s Ljudevit Lacković got a free kick in the 30th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Zdenko Taslak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hlapičina HNK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zdenko Taslak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teo Mel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zdenko Taslak in the 37th minute of the match. Teo Mel acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 43rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Blaž Čobanov. An unexpectedly hard shot by Srđan Kardum in the 46th minute of play forced Hlapičina HNK's goalkeeper Niko Kirac to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ljudevit Lacković stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milan Vusak in the 55th minute of play forced Carlstadt F.C.'s goalkeeper Teo Mel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milan Vusak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teo Mel having to interfere. After 73 played minutes Carlstadt F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Srđan Kardum. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ljudevit Lacković in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niko Kirac saved Hlapičina HNK from getting behind. 86 minutes into the match, Carlstadt F.C.'s Ljudevit Lacković sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Niko Kirac narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Niko Kirac acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 91st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Držislav Predan. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Milan Vusak in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teo Mel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hlapičina HNK had played much better football throughout.
