Borys Pankiewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milan Vusak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the game, Hlapičina HNK's Zdenko Taslak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Borys Pankiewicz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 27th minute, Jerko Gavranović hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sedat Aydınalp kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Corky's Borys Pankiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milan Vusak in the 45th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hlapičina HNK's Šandor Lokin got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half Hlapičina HNK were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zdenko Taslak made a kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match, Nikša Buljan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Borys Pankiewicz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Damir Lujanac kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Hlapičina HNK's Adam Sertić couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 58th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Corky. Tvrtko Fošner kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Gustaw Dudzik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niko Kirac saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zdenko Taslak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Borys Pankiewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
