Neno Bježančević made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Sebastijan Pajić's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arne Sandström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. A very good chance for a goal. 32 minutes into the match, Kobilić's goal looked a bit too open when Jakov Futač came free, but Neno Bježančević reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pula's Arne Sandström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damjan Baruška in the 36th minute of play. Teo Juraček hit a great ball. Jakov Futač received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Neno Bježančević tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jakov Futač had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 55 minutes of play, Pula's Jakov Futač made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Neno Bježančević was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Jakov Futač had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute Damjan Baruška shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Sandström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Jakov Futač managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pula's supporters rose to their feet, but Jakov Futač was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Neno Bježančević breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eugen Crnjak kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Darko Markić sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pula's Arne Sandström didn't even have to move. If Krešo Knez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastijan Pajić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastijan Pajić got free with Arne Sandström in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastijan Pajić could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Arne Sandström made a huge save. There was no doubt that Pula were the better team. Pula's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
