The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Držimir Baletić succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 6th playminute. Držimir Baletić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Sven Komadinić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jadran Dominković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Komadinić having to interfere. The Apriano Juniors fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Apriano Juniors's Jadran Dominković looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jadran Dominković in the 30th minute of play forced Petlovac Željezničar's goalkeeper Sven Komadinić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Držimir Baletić's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sven Komadinić firmly grabbed it by the left post. Držimir Baletićs short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Sven Komadinić to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Držimir Baletić put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sven Komadinić. Apriano Juniors's Jadran Dominković got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Franjo Kordić made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Petlovac Željezničar getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Martin Brlečić hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Držimir Baletić sped through Petlovac Željezničar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sven Komadinić. Zrinko Bešić hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Jadran Dominković scored 6-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sven Komadinić, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Držimir Baletić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sven Komadinić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Držimir Baletić in the 74th minute of play. Petlovac Željezničar's Augustin Zdorc challenged an opponent after 75 minutes. The hit was so bad that he suffered a foot injury. 75 minutes into the game, Edi Sanader was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Apriano Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Petlovac Željezničar the free kick. After a rather tough play, Apriano Juniors's Edi Sanader got a free kick in the 76th minute. Vlatko Vranješ shot from long distance in the 77th minute, but Mladen Asanović was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Držimir Baletić took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven Komadinić. Sven Komadinić dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. If Držimir Baletić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jadran Dominković came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Apriano Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jadran Dominković couldn't finish the play. The Petlovac Željezničar fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Petlovac Željezničar's Pero Perišić looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 89th minute Ištvan Plavčić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven Komadinić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Petlovac Željezničar's goal looked a bit too open when Držimir Baletić came free, but Sven Komadinić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Šimun Lajtner kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
