Priidik Room was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 5th minute. NK OSIJEK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 9 minutes into the match, Priidik Room had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vlaho Modrah. Kanarinci's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Priidik Room was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 13th minute, Priidik Room left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NK OSIJEK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Dominik Klaus struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Vlaho Modrah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NK OSIJEK. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luka Jović in the 18th minute of play forced Kanarinci's goalkeeper Vlaho Modrah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kanarinci were furious when Vlatko Jurela was red carded, 21 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kanarinci! When Luka Jović came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the NK OSIJEK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luka Jović couldn't finish the play. Vlaho Modrah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Priidik Room in the 27th minute of play. With his leg Vlaho Modrah managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when NK OSIJEK's Priidik Room fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bruno Dragišić kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 33 minutes, Luka Jović made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Kanarinci's Vlaho Modrah tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Vlaho Modrah made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Luka Jović sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luka Jović during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th match minute, NK OSIJEK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luka Jović to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, NK OSIJEK's Vlaho Modrah threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Priidik Room, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience was convinced that Priidik Room's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vlaho Modrah was relentless in the 45th minute of the game.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Radoslav Ivanković stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. NK OSIJEK's Arsen Herceg was substituted for Gašpar Božić. The NK OSIJEK fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when NK OSIJEK's Luka Jović looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, NK OSIJEK's Priidik Room got a free kick in the 75th minute. Priidik Room hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the game, Radoslav Ivanković was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kanarinci's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NK OSIJEK the free kick. In the 77th match minute, Kanarinci was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radoslav Ivanković to maneuver through the defense. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luka Jović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vlaho Modrah having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. NK OSIJEK fully deserved thier win.
