A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, Rakitje's goal looked a bit too open when Bojan Briški came free, but Janko Ilišević reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vlado Valožić could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Janko Ilišević made a huge save. Dino Šoljaga hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Neno Perazić was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 43 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rikard Martek to make the kick off.
