Janko Ilišević didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jadran Vuletić went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 18thth minute of the game Jadran Vuletić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rakitje's Janko Ilišević was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute, Dado Kuna made a precise shot to the right of Janko Ilišević. Rakitje's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Dado Kuna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janko Ilišević having to interfere. Dinko Planinić hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 32 minutes of play, Leeds United AFC's Jadran Vuletić made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Janko Ilišević was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kristijan Čuljak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Šoljaga in the 44th minute of the match. The corner led Rakitje's Dinko Planinić to fire away a dangerous shot which Kristijan Čuljak despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Leeds United AFC booed when Rakitje was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolf Plećaš didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Joško Poklepović came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Leeds United AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joško Poklepović couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jadran Vuletić to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Jadran Vuletić kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Janko Ilišević. That made the score 0-5 in the 53 minute of play. Janko Ilišević was a little too slow when Joško Poklepović got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 0-6. If Jadran Vuletić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Leeds United AFC's Janko Ilišević threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leon Predan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 65 minutes, Jadran Vuletić made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. Rakitje's Janko Ilišević tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 68th minute Joško Poklepović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janko Ilišević saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Janko Ilišević breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Joško Poklepović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rakitje's Janko Ilišević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jadran Vuletić in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Predan in the 82nd minute of play forced Rakitje's goalkeeper Janko Ilišević to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Leeds United AFC's Damir Miljuš nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Janko Ilišević made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. Joško Poklepović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janko Ilišević having to interfere. In the 92nd minute of the match, Joško Poklepović tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Janko Ilišević saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 93 minutes into the game, Leon Predan threw the ball into play from the sideline. Rakitje's Lazar Mekić quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Leeds United AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
