Bojan Briški started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Kanarinci booed when Vojnić was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vlado Valožić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eriberto Portilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dragutin Vasiljević's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. If Bojan Briški had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Vojnić's zone, Dragutin Vasiljević stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Portilla came out of the goal and Dragutin Vasiljević tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bojan Briški in the 27th minute of play forced Kanarinci's goalkeeper Vlaho Modrah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vlado Valožić struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Vlaho Modrah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vojnić. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dragutin Vasiljević to make the kick off. Vojnić's Vjeran Aljinović got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vojnić's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 69th minute Radoslav Ivanković shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Portilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Vojnić's Bojan Briški nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vlaho Modrah made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Kanarinci made a substitution. Petar Krile replaced Dragutin Vasiljević. Vlaho Modrah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bojan Briški in the 82nd minute of the match. After 84 played minutes Kanarinci got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Dragišić. Vlaho Modrah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bojan Briški, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jakša Tonković made in the 89th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ninoslav Ivković immediately put the ball in play. Bojan Briški received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Vlaho Modrah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
