If Domagoj Grković had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Punisher FC's Trifon Voutsinas got control of the ball when Domagoj Grković tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 6th minute, Lipovljani's Domagoj Grković dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Punisher FC's Torvald Høvik got a free kick in the 8th minute. Trifon Voutsinas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domagoj Grković, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Marcos Rojo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The corner ended in Tonko Urban almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Punisher FC's Trifon Voutsinas did a great save. In the 19th minute Domagoj Grković shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trifon Voutsinas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domagoj Grković got free with Trifon Voutsinas in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Domagoj Grković managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lipovljani's supporters rose to their feet, but Domagoj Grković was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trifon Voutsinas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mihovil Štibić lost his temper 40 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Mihovil Štibić kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Borko Blaškić in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jânio Branco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Domagoj Grković struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Trifon Voutsinas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lipovljani. In the 47th match minute, Lipovljani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tonko Petrlin to maneuver through the defense. Lipovljani's Ahmet Boran Tekinalp was substituted for Tobias Galeno. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karim Benzema was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domagoj Grković in the 52nd minute of play forced Punisher FC's goalkeeper Trifon Voutsinas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karim Benzema recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Domagoj Grković in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trifon Voutsinas saved Punisher FC from getting behind. After 58 minutes of play, Lipovljani's Domagoj Grković made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trifon Voutsinas was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 63 minutes Punisher FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tonko Urban who took care of the corner kick. Lipovljani's Jânio Branco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Lipovljani from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Lipovljani's Jânio Branco got control of the ball when Augustin Cerovec tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 70th minute of the match, Borko Blaškić tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jânio Branco saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With his leg Jânio Branco managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Punisher FC's Augustin Cerovec fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 76 minutes into the match, Domagoj Grković had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Trifon Voutsinas. Punisher FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domagoj Grković was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Lipovljani made a substitution. Håkan Šuker replaced Domagoj Grković. Punisher FC's Tonko Murković was substituted for Emilijan Bistrović. Punisher FC made a substitution. Mileta Dekanić replaced Marcos Rojo. Trifon Voutsinas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Håkan Šuker in the 85th minute of play. Mileta Dekanić made in the 86th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Lipovljani's Zrinko Kunštek. After some careless play in the Punisher FC defense, Håkan Šuker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Trifon Voutsinas. The Punisher FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Trifon Voutsinas should have stopped the shot.
