A collision led to Maksimir getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Antonio Hrste hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Danijel Petrlin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maksimir's supporters rose to their feet, but Danijel Petrlin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcel Mateša breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 60 minutes into the match, Maksimir's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Gonsalvo came free, but Antonio Križanec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Marcel Mateša successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Danijel Petrlin in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marcel Mateša, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Maksimir made a substitution. Gradimir Antonić replaced Miodrag Rozga.
