Mathias Gavilanes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Mathias Gavilanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Forsberg in the 33rd minute of play. NK Dubrava Zagreb's Benedito Mineiro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sixto Figueroa, made in the 45th minute of the game. A collision led to NK Dubrava Zagreb getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Benedito Mineiro hit a great ball. NK Dubrava Zagreb's Mathias Gavilanes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save NK Dubrava Zagreb from getting a goal against them. Börje Forsberg had several of the NK Dubrava Zagreb's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 47 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Mathias Gavilanes as he didn't even see the shot coming. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Börje Forsberg made the kick off in the second half. Mathias Gavilanes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duško Zambata, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Antun Zahora was slow to take the kick. During this time NK Dubrava Zagreb's players had a chance to rest. After 82 minutes NK Dubrava Zagreb's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ilko Smoje who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Ilko Smoje got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mathias Gavilanes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some careless play in the NK Dubrava Zagreb defense, Bo Cantona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mathias Gavilanes. The NK Dubrava Zagreb fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mathias Gavilanes should have stopped the shot. Jastreb walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
