Matko Drapčinski hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Börje Forsberg's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Grgur Mađar firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 15th minute Jastreb were awarded a corner. Marco Materazzi went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Brcina in the 17th minute of play forced Jastreb's goalkeeper Navarro Montoya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Börje Forsberg got free with Grgur Mađar in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Duško Zambata kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Jastreb's Börje Forsberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Grgur Mađar. That made the score 1-1 after 30 minutes of play. 34 minutes into the match, Žminj ONK's goalkeeper Grgur Mađar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Duško Zambata. Grgur Mađar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luka Mata in the 40th minute of play. After some careless play in the Jastreb defense, Valentin Brcina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Navarro Montoya. The Jastreb fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Navarro Montoya should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valentin Brcina to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Žminj ONK's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Forsberg came free, but Grgur Mađar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anders Bäck charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anders Bäck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Jastreb booed when Žminj ONK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anders Bäck didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Žminj ONK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
