Drake Didlock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Brcina, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Žminj ONK's Valentin Brcina got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to NK SKRETNIČAR getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Vjeran Bronić hit a great ball. NK SKRETNIČAR's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Valentin Brcina scored to the left of an out of position Drake Didlock, making the score, 2-0. Vjeran Bronić kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in NK SKRETNIČAR's zone, Valentin Brcina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Drake Didlock came out of the goal and Valentin Brcina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valentin Brcina came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Drake Didlock could save by the left post. 38 minutes into the match, Žminj ONK's Valentin Brcina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Drake Didlock narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th minute Birsel Nasip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Drake Didlock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

NK SKRETNIČAR's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valter Malekin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Žminj ONK's Valter Malekin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Drake Didlock in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 94 played minutes Žminj ONK got a freekick which was hit by Valter Malekin. For all the effort they put into the match, the NK SKRETNIČAR players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Žminj ONK.
