Žminj ONK's Grgur Mađar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrijan Grbović in the 4th minute of play. Boleslaw Jaktorowo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Brcina, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valentin Brcina in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boleslaw Jaktorowo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12thth minute of the game Valentin Brcina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maksimir's Boleslaw Jaktorowo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Izidor Nikolić kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute of the match Adam Dodaj sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Grgur Mađar skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Maksimir defense, Valentin Brcina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boleslaw Jaktorowo. The Maksimir fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boleslaw Jaktorowo should have stopped the shot. Boleslaw Jaktorowo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Brcina in the 23rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Valentin Brcina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boleslaw Jaktorowo was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. With a little luck, Maksimir's Boleslaw Jaktorowo got control of the ball when Valentin Brcina tried to sneak it across the goal line. Grgur Mađar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danijel Petrlin in the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valentin Brcina to make the kick off. Grgur Mađar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danijel Petrlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Valentin Brcina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boleslaw Jaktorowo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danijel Petrlin got free with Grgur Mađar in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The nice shot from Danijel Petrlin in the 59thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Grgur Mađar had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Boleslaw Jaktorowo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Brcina in the 66th minute of the match. Žminj ONK's Clementi Bustio was substituted for Birsel Nasip. Maksimir's Maksim Delić was substituted for Šandor Dajčić. Maksimir made a substitution. Antonio Hrste replaced Adrijan Grbović. Žminj ONK made a substitution. Boro Bonačić replaced Valentin Brcina. Maksimir's Gradimir Antonić was substituted for Miodrag Rozga. Žminj ONK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Valter Malekin in the 69th minute. Žminj ONK's Valter Malekin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Boleslaw Jaktorowo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gradimir Antonić made in the 71st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Žminj ONK's Isak Katić. Boro Bonačić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boleslaw Jaktorowo having to make a save. In the 75th match minute, Žminj ONK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boro Bonačić to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute Danijel Petrlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grgur Mađar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boleslaw Jaktorowo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boro Bonačić's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Boro Bonačić might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Boleslaw Jaktorowo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Boro Bonačić ran back to his position shaking his head. When Boro Bonačić came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Žminj ONK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boro Bonačić couldn't finish the play. Anders Bäck hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Grgur Mađar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Danijel Petrlin went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Maksimir were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
