Spectators: 6695 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 0) Nantes's Patrick Leblay started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Billy Hippolyte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ghislain Langlet in the 2nd minute of play. Marco Bonnefoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Bonnel having to interfere. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Veyrie's goalkeeper Jonas Bonnel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Nantes's Patrick Leblay in the 11th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Jonas Bonnel was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Veyrie through an amazing save. In the 17th minute of the match Jérémie Millon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Billy Hippolyte showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Danny Carrillo came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Veyrie fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danny Carrillo couldn't finish the play. Marco Bonnefoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Jonas Bonnel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Veyrie defense, Marco Bonnefoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonas Bonnel. The Veyrie fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonas Bonnel should have stopped the shot. Ghislain Langlet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Hippolyte having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrick Leblay in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonas Bonnel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Nantes's Patrick Leblay slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonas Bonnel. That made the score 2-0 after 35 minutes of play. Joseph Roudet succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 45th playminute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Patrick Leblay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Bonnefoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Jonas Bonnel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrick Leblay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Nantes booed when Veyrie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Leplat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Bonnefoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Veyrie's zone, Marco Bonnefoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Bonnel came out of the goal and Marco Bonnefoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patrick Leblay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonas Bonnel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Marco Bonnefoi struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Jonas Bonnel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nantes. In the 90th match minute, Nantes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph Roudet to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Veyrie getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Jean-Sébastien Perry hit a great ball. Patrick Leblay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Bonnel having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Nantes players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
