Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gaël Friedmann took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Romaric Anfray came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Avanne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romaric Anfray couldn't finish the play. If José Bouffard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Avanne booed when Châteaufort was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean-Cyrille Garrigou didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Avanne's zone, Gaël Friedmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Louison Lorenzo came out of the goal and Gaël Friedmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute Gaël Friedmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Louison Lorenzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean-Michel Courtial recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Avanne's Hamza Bellard got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Jean-Michel Courtial sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gaël Friedmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Louison Lorenzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, Châteaufort was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabien Ledent to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the game, Gameiro Roche was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Châteaufort's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Avanne the free kick. After 46 played minutes Châteaufort got a freekick which was hit by Gameiro Roche. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when José Bouffard made the kick off in the second half. Châteaufort's Marc Charrier couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 57th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Avanne. Gaël Friedmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Louison Lorenzo having to interfere. Châteaufort's Marc Charrier couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Avanne. Châteaufort's Gaétan Hennequin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Bouffard in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Bouffard in the 71st minute of play forced Châteaufort's goalkeeper Gaétan Hennequin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romaric Anfray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaétan Hennequin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Bouffard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mohamed Taillard's late challenge caught a Avanne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mohamed Taillard helped the player get up and apologised. Mohamed Taillard kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Avanne:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Châteaufort:s goal. Romaric Anfrays short, quick shot in the 99thth minute got Gaétan Hennequin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Avanne eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
