Mamadou Branger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xavier De Freitas in the 14th minute. After a rather tough play, Spéracèdes's Billy Lager got a free kick in the 16th minute. Charles-Emmanuel Nguyen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spéracèdes. Charles-Emmanuel Nguyen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greg Nallet, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Charles-Emmanuel Nguyen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Greg Nallet in the 31st minute of play. If Greg Nallet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Diguet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Charles-Emmanuel Nguyen having to make a save. Mamadou Branger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romain Gelle in the 46th minute of the match. With a little luck, Spéracèdes's Mamadou Branger got control of the ball when Xavier De Freitas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Spéracèdes were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
