The Loscoat fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Loscoat's Yoann Didierjean looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Joffrey Benoît had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 played minutes Loscoat got a freekick which was hit by Léon Heurtaux. After a rather tough play, Athletico Mayotte's Joffrey Benoît got a free kick in the 23rd minute. With a little luck, Athletico Mayotte's Djamel Meurice got control of the ball when Donovan Charpin tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yoann Didierjean in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Djamel Meurice saved Athletico Mayotte from getting behind. Loscoat's Francis Fallot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romuald Chaussinand in the 31st minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Loscoat:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Athletico Mayotte:s goal. After 34 minutes of play, Athletico Mayotte's Billy Salem made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francis Fallot was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Donovan Charpin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Léon Heurtaux kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Djamel Meurice. That made the score 2-1 in the 38 minute of play. Francis Fallot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Théophile Briffaut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
