After 22 minutes, Terry Kuentz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Harambe and the Saubens players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Saubens booed when Harambe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terry Kuentz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kader Gallardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Harambe's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jordan Haller 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Kader Gallardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Marco Fallot made a huge save. Darren Sale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prosper Herzog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Prosper Herzog notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Saubens's Darren Sale. Darren Sale was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marco Fallot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kader Gallardo in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Harambe walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
