An unexpectedly hard shot by Désiré Vasse in the 19th minute of play forced Cergy's goalkeeper Constantin Heyraud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 minutes of play, Argonay's Désiré Vasse made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cergy's Constantin Heyraud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octave Hamm in the 81st minute of play. Octave Hamm might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Constantin Heyraud. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Octave Hamm ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 87th match minute, Cergy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean-Christophe Alonso to maneuver through the defense. Dylan Créteur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Émeric Rivat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jean-Christophe Alonso's late challenge caught a Argonay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Constantin Heyraud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octave Hamm in the 95th minute of the match. In the 97th minute Argonay were awarded a corner. Clovis Claire went to the cornerflag to take it. Argonay's Clovis Claire was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Constantin Heyraud in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Argonay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
