The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Paul-Henri Terrasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Meylan's Ludovic Le Baron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ibrahim Doré in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Nicolas Girardot notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Meylan's Ludovic Le Baron. Ludovic Le Baron was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blaise Chalon in the 19th minute of play forced Meylan's goalkeeper Ludovic Le Baron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Meylan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ludovic Le Baron should have stopped the shot. If Simon Chandelier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Girardot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludovic Le Baron having to interfere. Ludovic Le Baron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blaise Chalon in the 48th minute of the match.

After 51 played minutes Meylan got a freekick which was hit by Paul-Henri Terrasson. Blaise Chalon struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Ludovic Le Baron didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garons. 54 minutes in the game, Nicolas Girardot fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ludovic Le Baron having to interfere. The supporters of Garons booed when Meylan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Loy didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Nicolas Girardot's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ludovic Le Baron was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. A hard shot by Patrick Crépel from long distance, 69 minutes into the match, got Ludovic Le Baron's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ludovic Le Baron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Girardot in the 73rd minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Nicolas Girardot dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ludovic Le Baron, 0-5. Garons's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
