Romain Théophile tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cyril Pécout fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Longjumeau's protests and gave Cyril Pécout a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 played minutes Longjumeau got a freekick which was hit by Cyril Pécout. Eddy Lépicier took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romain Théophile. Romain Théophile dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The supporters of Longjumeau booed when Meyreuil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyprien Pauchet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Longjumeau's Eliott Deck couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Meyreuil. Freddy Maniere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hercule Bigand, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Freddy Maniere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hercule Bigand in the 37th minute of play. If Baptiste Calas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bakary Bruant stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Freddy Maniere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yvan Martinage, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hercule Bigand scored 1-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Freddy Maniere, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hercule Bigand got free with Freddy Maniere in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hercule Bigand could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Freddy Maniere made a huge save. After having played for 73 minutes, Hercule Bigand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meyreuil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hercule Bigand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Baptiste Calas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hercule Bigand in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Freddy Maniere, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 96 minutes into the match, Longjumeau's goalkeeper Freddy Maniere had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hercule Bigand.
