Raoul Pochard ran back to his position shaking his head. Felix Levieux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antoine Knecht having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacques Ménut in the 14th minute of play forced Vourles's goalkeeper Félicien Mechin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, As Monaco FC's Jacques Ménut sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Félicien Mechin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Felix Levieux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gildas Poquet during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th minute, one of As Monaco FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for As Monaco FC. Antoine Knecht showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raoul Pochard in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raoul Pochard in the 38th minute of play forced As Monaco FC's goalkeeper Antoine Knecht to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 41 minutes, Raoul Pochard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vourles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raoul Pochard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
