La Rochelle FC's Nunez Ladio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Youssef Poilane in the 15th minute of play. Alphonse Girardet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Gibon in the 22nd minute of the match. Georges Heitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Freddy Gibon's late challenge caught a girondins de bordeaux's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The wind increased when Santo Goren made the kick off in the second half. Nunez Ladio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Georges Heitz in the 57th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Santo Goren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Alphonse Girardet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Santo Goren struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Alphonse Girardet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Rochelle FC. La Rochelle FC's Valerien Laviolette was substituted for Cedric Legeard. Santo Goren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santo Goren hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santo Goren in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alphonse Girardet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Freddy Gibon came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the La Rochelle FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Gibon couldn't finish the play. La Rochelle FC's Antonin Puaud was substituted for Freddy Gibon. The audience was convinced that Santo Goren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alphonse Girardet was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Youssef Poilanes short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Nunez Ladio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
