Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jean-Yves Plateau started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Billy Ginola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Billy Ginola could shoot a difficult shot in the 5th minute, which Jean-Christophe Mimouni however easily saved by the left post. Jean-Christophe Mimouni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samy Noyon, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After having played for 14 minutes, Sacha Petetin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ajax Amsterdam's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sacha Petetin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute, Billy Ginola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaston Charon came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Ajax Amsterdam's Germain Saillard. But to his dismay, Germain Saillard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 22 minutes, Joseph Burlet made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. sainté's Gaston Charon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gaston Charon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germain Saillard in the 27th minute of play. Gaston Charon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sacha Petetin in the 39th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, sainté's Jean-Christophe Mimouni threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Samy Noyon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Germain Saillard made a kick off. Jean-Christophe Mimouni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Billy Ginola, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After 56 minutes of play, Ajax Amsterdam's Sacha Petetin made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gaston Charon was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 64th minute, Sacha Petetin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaston Charon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. After 75 played minutes, sainté's Gauthier Becard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jean-Christophe Mimouni came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in sainté reached it. The audience was convinced that Jean-Yves Plateau's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jean-Christophe Mimouni was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Joey Michelon lost his temper 78 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ajax Amsterdam! Franz Fauche took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jean-Christophe Mimouni. Ajax Amsterdam's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sacha Petetin got free with Gaston Charon in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ajax Amsterdam's Jean-Christophe Mimouni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Yves Plateau in the 92nd minute of play. Sacha Petetin struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Gaston Charon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ajax Amsterdam. Ajax Amsterdam's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
