After having played for 18 minutes, Auguste Schindler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Blanc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Auguste Schindler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the game, Pierre-Antoine Albin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fc Blanc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave montpellier herault sport the free kick. Pierre-Antoine Albin hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 27 played minutes montpellier herault sport got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Duperron. During the 30th minute of the match Pierre-Antoine Albin completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pierre-Antoine Albin a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 31 played minutes Fc Blanc got a freekick which was hit by Pierre-Antoine Albin. Tom Boulain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christopher Papon, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 35th minute, Thibaut Ben Arfa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tom Boulain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louis Jeudy in the 39th minute of play. Jérémy Revel charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tom Boulain showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Léon Deneuve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Auguste Schindler in the 46th minute of play. Mourad Tahon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christopher Papon was the one to do the kick off. When Mourad Tahon came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Fc Blanc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mourad Tahon couldn't finish the play. Thibaut Ben Arfa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Léon Deneuve tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 played minutes montpellier herault sport got a freekick which was hit by Eymeric Berrier. After a defensive mix-up in montpellier herault sport's zone, Mourad Tahon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Léon Deneuve came out of the goal and Mourad Tahon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 63 minutes into the match, montpellier herault sport's goal looked a bit too open when Mourad Tahon came free, but Léon Deneuve reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Louis Jeudy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Tom Boulain made a huge save. Fc Blanc's Mourad Tahon got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, montpellier herault sport's goal looked a bit too open when Mourad Tahon came free, but Léon Deneuve reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Eymeric Berrier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thibaut Ben Arfa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mourad Tahon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Eymeric Berrier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Auguste Schindler got free in front of the goal in the 90th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Léon Deneuve was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Auguste Schindler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Léon Deneuve read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Mickaël Gayraud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Léon Deneuve didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mourad Tahon went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Fc Blanc had played much better football throughout.
