In the 17th minute Benoît Janin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daryl Messmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Péraud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 minutes, Sylvain Amri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nanterre and the Lessy players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Lessy booed when Nanterre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sylvain Amri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daryl Messmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benoît Janin in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Lessy's Benoît Janin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Daryl Messmer. Daryl Messmer yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Malcom Dupe made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes, Lessy's Cédric Praud shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Daryl Messmer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lessy reached it. Daryl Messmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Péraud, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. When Lessy's André Péraud in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nanterre's goalie prevented a goal. Marco Pronier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Benoît Janin fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lessy's protests and gave Benoît Janin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th match minute, Lessy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benoît Janin to maneuver through the defense. Marco Pronier hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Benoît Janin kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Jean-Baptiste Chambard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc-Aurèle Mangot having to interfere. Benoît Janin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Péraud struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Daryl Messmer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lessy. In the 83rd minute, Benoît Janin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nanterre's Bakary Chambert shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 89th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Marc-Aurèle Mangot but with some difficulty. André Péraud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Daryl Messmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Nanterre players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lessy.
