Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Scofield Vinciguerra in the 10th minute of play. Tommy Kahn had in the 22ndth minute some difficulties stopping Scofield Vinciguerra's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Scofield Vinciguerra got free with Tommy Kahn in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tommy Kahn was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Scofield Vinciguerra capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Scofield Vinciguerra really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. In the 29th minute Franco Ucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Scofield Vinciguerra in the 30th minute. After 32 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Frank Sachs. Tommy Kahn yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Scofield Vinciguerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The wind increased when Dieguinho Tande made the kick off in the second half. Willy Stieler charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willy Stieler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 58 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Willy Stieler. The throw-in from Willy Stieler in the 65th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Acilia Town's Robert Wojno. The supporters of Acilia Town booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Krakouer didn't get a good kick on the ball.
