The supporters of Gières booed when Maurepas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bilal Bernat didn't get a good kick on the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Maurepas's goalkeeper Yoann Fonteneau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bérenger Ehrhardt. Pacôme Béteille took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dylan Quentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurepas's Marc-Olivier Chavanon got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Maurepas booed when Gières was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurice Lazare didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Maurepas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Bost to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Marc-Olivier Chavanon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maurepas's supporters rose to their feet, but Marc-Olivier Chavanon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pacôme Béteille breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Dylan Quentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Marc-Olivier Chavanon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maurepas's supporters rose to their feet, but Marc-Olivier Chavanon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pacôme Béteille breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bérenger Ehrhardt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Yoann Fonteneau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yoann Fonteneau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurice Lazare, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dylan Quentin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bérenger Ehrhardt might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yoann Fonteneau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bérenger Ehrhardt ran back to his position shaking his head. Marc-Olivier Chavanon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marc-Olivier Chavanon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pacôme Béteille showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dylan Quentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Maurepas's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Pluchart came free, but Yoann Fonteneau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 67 minutes, Bérenger Ehrhardt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gières's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bérenger Ehrhardt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68thth minute of the game Jonas Pluchart who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maurepas's Yoann Fonteneau was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gières's zone, Marc-Olivier Chavanon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pacôme Béteille came out of the goal and Marc-Olivier Chavanon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute Jonas Pluchart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yoann Fonteneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maurepas's Dylan Quentin got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pacôme Béteille showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Gayral, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute, Dylan Quentin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 88 played minutes, Maurepas's Bilal Bernat shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pacôme Béteille came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Maurepas reached it. Marc-Olivier Chavanon had several of the Gières's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 96 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Pacôme Béteille as he didn't even see the shot coming. The Gières fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Maurepas were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
