After 23 minutes, Fabian Ribéry mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vany and the FC LAPIPE players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fabian Ribéry kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After 25 played minutes Vany got a freekick which was hit by Kevan Lamirand. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vany's goalkeeper Firmin Courrier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ferdinand Brunner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Firmin Courrier having to interfere. Fabian Ribéry got his second yellow card in the match during the 32nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herbert Komornicki in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Firmin Courrier saved Vany from getting behind. Léopold Nativel might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Harold Pecheur. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Léopold Nativel ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in FC LAPIPE's zone, Félicien Robart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harold Pecheur came out of the goal and Félicien Robart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ferdinand Brunner made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei da Fonseca in the 52nd minute of play forced Vany's goalkeeper Firmin Courrier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ferdinand Brunner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinand Brunner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Firmin Courrier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Brunner in the 62nd minute of play forced Vany's goalkeeper Firmin Courrier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th match minute, FC LAPIPE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre-Henri Vinson to maneuver through the defense. After 69 minutes, Jacob Sart mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vany and the FC LAPIPE players grew even worse after the yellow card.
