Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Wahagnies's Sébastien Gerbault started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 10 minutes into the game, Sébastien Gerbault recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rémi Griot. Sébastien Gerbault showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lilian Cormerais in the 18th minute of play forced Wahagnies's goalkeeper Kévin Yung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ben Neuville, 21 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Kévin Yung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentin Hache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Édouard Segura fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored olympique Lyonnais's protests and gave Édouard Segura a yellow card for diving instead. After 28 played minutes olympique Lyonnais got a freekick which was hit by Édouard Segura. In the 32nd match minute, olympique Lyonnais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lilian Cormerais to maneuver through the defense. Wahagnies's Sébastien Gerbault got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Lilian Cormerais's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kévin Yung was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Rémi Griot made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Faudel Michau sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lilian Cormerais to make the kick off. A collision led to olympique Lyonnais getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Vivien Lionnet hit a great ball. In the 55th match minute, Wahagnies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sébastien Gerbault to maneuver through the defense. Faudel Michau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Rémi Griot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rémi Griot came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Wahagnies's Sébastien Gerbault. But to his dismay, Sébastien Gerbault quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Sidney Delbos's late challenge caught a olympique Lyonnais's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sidney Delbos helped the player get up and apologised. Kévin Yung showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lilian Cormerais, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Sébastien Gerbault sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faudel Michau in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rémi Griot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vivien Lionnet charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vivien Lionnet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rémi Griot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faudel Michau in the 80th minute of play. Faudel Michau struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Rémi Griot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wahagnies. Rémi Griot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sébastien Gerbault, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. A collision led to olympique Lyonnais getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Émilien Chagnon hit a great ball. Hector Manuel tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Rémi Griot. An unnecessary self made goal, 3-0 in the 87th minute. Faudel Michau charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faudel Michau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 91 played minutes Wahagnies got a freekick which was hit by Faudel Michau. For all the effort they put into the match, the olympique Lyonnais players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Wahagnies.
