Renan Pinelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynald Ruggeri, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brignoud's goalkeeper Farid Rouchy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Francis Hacquard's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Farid Rouchy skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 10 played minutes Brignoud got a freekick which was hit by Lenny Audigier. Francis Hacquard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thibaut Schweitzer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renan Pinelli having to interfere. Nathan Gehin charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nathan Gehin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th match minute, StE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nathan Gehin to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, StE's Constantin Daguerre seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Constantin Daguerre the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of StE protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Constantin Daguerre had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in StE fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! Renan Pinelli went to the wrong direction when Gauthier Beaume was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. StE's Renan Pinelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thibaut Schweitzer in the 30th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Brignoud got a freekick which was hit by Lenny Audigier. Reynald Ruggeri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renan Pinelli having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Jason Dilly got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jason Dilly to strike the kick off in the second half. Florentin Kerrien recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute, Florentin Kerrien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute of the match Davy Pauleau sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Renan Pinelli skillfully saved the ball. Farid Rouchy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentin Kerrien, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 68th match minute, StE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lionel Pascal to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raoul Deleplanque during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 69 played minutes Brignoud got a freekick which was hit by Raoul Deleplanque. Renan Pinelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynald Ruggeri in the 76th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Thomas Cam took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Renan Pinelli to make any attempt to save it. Farid Rouchy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jason Dilly, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After 87 played minutes, StE's Francis Hacquard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Farid Rouchy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in StE reached it. 87 minutes into the game, Thibaut Schweitzer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brignoud's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave StE the free kick. The supporters of Brignoud booed when StE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malik Delahaye didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the game, Noureddine Jamot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brignoud's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave StE the free kick. After 94 played minutes Brignoud got a freekick which was hit by Noureddine Jamot. The Brignoud supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Brignoud would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
