The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kadri Temizel scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joël Coiffier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ruffiney's Honoré Romanet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Ruffiney from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Alain Gazel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joël Coiffier was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Joël Coiffier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 方皓晨 in the 13th minute of play. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Drulhes getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Léopold Caro hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, Drulhes's goal looked a bit too open when 方皓晨 came free, but Joël Coiffier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Drulhes's goalkeeper Joël Coiffier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, William Labesse had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Honoré Romanet. Ruffiney's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that William Labesse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 38th minute 方皓晨 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joël Coiffier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Rodrigue Lesaulnier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Kadri Temizel came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Ruffiney fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kadri Temizel couldn't finish the play. Joël Coiffier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 方皓晨's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The Drulhes fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when Drulhes's William Labesse looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.
The wind increased when 方皓晨 made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kadri Temizel got free with Joël Coiffier in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute William Labesse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honoré Romanet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Drulhes's goal looked a bit too open when Alain Gazel came free, but Joël Coiffier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruffiney's attack was well implemented in the 65th minute, but when Kadri Temizel was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Honoré Romanet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Baptiste Bock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Drulhes's zone, Michel Prouvost stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joël Coiffier came out of the goal and Michel Prouvost tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Honoré Romanet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Labesse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 方皓晨 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joël Coiffier having to interfere. Alain Gazel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigue Lesaulnier in the 88th minute of play forced Drulhes's goalkeeper Joël Coiffier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 方皓晨 in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joël Coiffier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Ruffiney defense, William Labesse kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Honoré Romanet. The Ruffiney fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Honoré Romanet should have stopped the shot. Ruffiney were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
