The F.C Oettinger Boys Lixing fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Augustin Herbreteau should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Metz's zone, Iker Nayely stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georges Demarest came out of the goal and Iker Nayely tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iker Nayely was the one to do the kick off. In the 62nd minute, Michael Stigsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Georges Demarest. The goal made the score 3-1. Emmanuel Naveau struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Georges Demarest didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C Oettinger Boys Lixing. Augustin Herbreteau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Bizot in the 70th minute of play. Iker Nayely fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georges Demarest having to interfere.
