Didier Eveillard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Clem Camara when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Morgan Henault hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute Charles Franc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jordan Lesecq saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Charles Franc in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jordan Lesecq saved Ruitz from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romaric Brillet in the 31st minute of play forced Real Avilés's goalkeeper Clem Camara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucas Juge was the one to do the kick off. Jordan Lesecq made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Juge in the 52nd minute of play. Frederic Goyard hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Jordan Lesecq came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Avilés's Kevan Will. But to his dismay, Kevan Will quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Clem Camara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romaric Brillet went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Real Avilés defense, Didier Eveillard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clem Camara. The Real Avilés fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clem Camara should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Theodore Pesquet during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Charles Franc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Jordan Lesecq tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clem Camara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romaric Brillet in the 84th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Romaric Brillet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ruitz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Romaric Brillet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clem Camara having to interfere. Real Avilés's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
