The Opio fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Opio's Jérôme Gleyze looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Lorgies's zone, Jérôme Gleyze stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luc Mahé came out of the goal and Jérôme Gleyze tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute, Patrick Mottet made a precise shot to the right of Redouane Couillet. Opio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Ernest Mainguet kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Luc Mahé stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jérôme Gleyze's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Jérôme Gleyze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Luc Mahé tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gauthier Gillard in the 34th minute of play forced Lorgies's goalkeeper Luc Mahé to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gauthier Gillard in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luc Mahé saved Lorgies from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathieu Follin in the 42nd minute of play forced Opio's goalkeeper Redouane Couillet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jérôme Gleyze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Hugo Guilloux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gauthier Gillard struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Luc Mahé didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Opio. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mathieu Follin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Mathieu Follin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Redouane Couillet was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Gauthier Gillard sped through Lorgies's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luc Mahé. 76 minutes into the match, Lorgies's goal looked a bit too open when Jérôme Gleyze came free, but Luc Mahé reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jérôme Gleyze in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luc Mahé prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 85 minutes into the match, Lorgies's goal looked a bit too open when Jérôme Gleyze came free, but Luc Mahé reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Opio getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Gérald Bonamy hit a great ball. Opio's Redouane Couillet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Mottet in the 90th minute of play. After 91 minutes of play, Lorgies's Ernest Mainguet made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Redouane Couillet was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Gauthier Gillard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Lorgies fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Opio were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
