After 5 minutes of play, U.S.M.Olivet's Rodrigo Peytavin made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marc-Aurèle Dambrine was left in no man's land by his defense there! With an all-out effort, U.S.M.Olivet's Marc-Aurèle Dambrine threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Chris Milleville, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Luzenac Ariège Pyrénées's Émile Hénot got a free kick in the 8th minute. Chris Milleville fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc-Aurèle Dambrine having to interfere. Nathan Aubourg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre-Emmanuel Maurel in the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Milleville in the 17th minute of play forced Luzenac Ariège Pyrénées's goalkeeper Marc-Aurèle Dambrine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Pierre-Emmanuel Maurel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nathan Aubourg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oscar Melet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Nathan Aubourg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pierre-Emmanuel Maurel during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Luzenac Ariège Pyrénées was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre-Emmanuel Maurel to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chris Milleville made a kick off. The supporters of U.S.M.Olivet booed when Luzenac Ariège Pyrénées was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Caffin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pierre-Emmanuel Maurels short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Nathan Aubourg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. U.S.M.Olivet's Mamadou Gibon got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nathan Aubourg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Melet in the 64th minute of play. Marc-Aurèle Dambrine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Peytavin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, U.S.M.Olivet's goalkeeper Nathan Aubourg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pierre-Emmanuel Maurel. In the 76th minute, Oscar Melet fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Marc-Aurèle Dambrine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Peytavin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Milleville in the 85th minute of play forced Luzenac Ariège Pyrénées's goalkeeper Marc-Aurèle Dambrine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mamadou Gibon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute Chris Milleville shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc-Aurèle Dambrine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Peytavin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marc-Aurèle Dambrine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Milleville in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marc-Aurèle Dambrine saved Luzenac Ariège Pyrénées from getting behind. When Victor Suc fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U.S.M.Olivet's protests and gave Victor Suc a yellow card for diving instead. After 96 played minutes U.S.M.Olivet got a freekick which was hit by Victor Suc. When the referee ended the match the U.S.M.Olivet players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
