The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, SanSSoMMeiL's Lilian Francomme got control of the ball when Gauthier Pelletier tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, SanSSoMMeiL's Dominique Combette got a free kick in the 8th minute. Gauthier Pelletier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Lilian Francomme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zinedine Valton in the 23rd minute of play forced Guentrange's goalkeeper Faouzi Huart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maxime Taris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Lilian Francomme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guentrange's Gauthier Pelletier got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gauthier Pelletier in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lilian Francomme, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 32 minutes, Zinedine Valton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SanSSoMMeiL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zinedine Valton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Guentrange's Maxime Taris in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SanSSoMMeiL's goalie prevented a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maxime Taris stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SanSSoMMeiL's Lilian Francomme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxime Taris in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Guentrange getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Samuel Brahim hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the game, SanSSoMMeiL's Zinedine Valton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Faouzi Huart made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Maxime Taris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guentrange's Maxime Taris got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zinedine Valton was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 86 played minutes, Guentrange's Alfred Varnier shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lilian Francomme came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guentrange reached it. Gauthier Pelletier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lilian Francomme having to interfere. When Maxime Taris came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Guentrange fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maxime Taris couldn't finish the play. Maxime Taris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Lilian Francomme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Maxime Taris made a precise shot to the right of Lilian Francomme. SanSSoMMeiL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Chants of SanSSoMMeiL echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Guentrange had held the ball for most of the match.
