But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeo Bellot couldn't finish the play. Yannick Puaud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyril Albertini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yannick Puaud made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Pierre Pesquet sent off a good shot on target. Pierre Pesquet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yannick Puaud made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pierre Pesquet in the 37th minute. When Cyril Albertini came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Lovettaz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cyril Albertini couldn't finish the play. Benoît Louet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Bellot in the 45th minute of play. Cyril Albertini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romeo Bellot to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 80th minute, Faudel Delhomme sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Murianette's Yannick Puaud didn't even have to move. The audience was convinced that Cyril Albertini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yannick Puaud was relentless in the 81st minute of the game.
