Spectators: 6699 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1699, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bruce Houles kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Pau FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Bruce Houles hit a great ball. In the 7th minute, Jérémy Calmet sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pau FC's Yves Jousselin didn't even have to move. Yves Jousselin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Djamel Tavernier in the 9th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruce Houles during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th minute, Bruce Houles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Djamel Tavernier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Yves Jousselin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Djamel Tavernier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Yves Jousselin made a huge save. Matheo Daguerre hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Yves Jousselin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octave Corbel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Blanquefort's Djamel Tavernier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yves Jousselin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Pau FC's goalkeeper Yves Jousselin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Djamel Tavernier. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Aziz Jousseaume recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aziz Jousseaume's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yves Jousselin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Yves Jousselin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aziz Jousseaume, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. When Djamel Tavernier came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Blanquefort fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Djamel Tavernier couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aziz Jousseaume in the 70th minute of play forced Pau FC's goalkeeper Yves Jousselin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Pau FC defense, Aziz Jousseaume kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yves Jousselin. The Pau FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yves Jousselin should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Pau FC's Jack Anne got a free kick in the 73rd minute. If Modeste Sanchis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Blanquefort's zone, Bruce Houles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bacary Le Forestier came out of the goal and Bruce Houles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Djamel Tavernier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Modeste Sanchis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pau FC's zone, Djamel Tavernier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yves Jousselin came out of the goal and Djamel Tavernier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pau FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Blanquefort.
