In the 14thth minute of the game Cheikh Breysse who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Crew zéro Fc's Blaise Gruber was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of Crew zéro Fc:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of New York FC:s goal. In the 18th minute there was a penalty for New York FC. Cheikh Breysse stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Blaise Gruber. 1-1. If Fernand Fève had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Crew zéro Fc's Dominique Ardouin suffered a sore thigh after 24 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 24 minutes into the game, Gaspard Dixneuf was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New York FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crew zéro Fc the free kick. Gaspard Dixneuf kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. New York FC's Fernand Fève got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. New York FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
