The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cheikh Breysse to strike the kick off in the second half. Alban Liabeuf's late challenge caught a Crew zéro Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alban Liabeuf helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes New York FC got a freekick which was hit by Alban Liabeuf. 54 minutes into the game, Ben Delamarre cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. The referee ignored Crew zéro Fc's protests and gave Billy Cassou a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Crew zéro Fc getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Billy Cassou hit a great ball. Fernand Fève struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Blaise Gruber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New York FC. Cheikh Breysse might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Blaise Gruber. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cheikh Breysse ran back to his position shaking his head. When New York FC's Cheikh Breysse in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Crew zéro Fc's goalie prevented a goal.
