Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After 4 minutes of play, marseïlle's Samuel Viallet made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kader Brillaud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rémi Dif having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Stanislas Royer managed to get in a good position for a shot. marseïlle's supporters rose to their feet, but Stanislas Royer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hervé Tardy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hervé Tardy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danny Girouard, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 18thth minute of the game Stanislas Royer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Toulouse's Hervé Tardy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Samuel Viallet struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Hervé Tardy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for marseïlle. After 21 played minutes marseïlle got a freekick which was hit by Gustave Capon. After 23 played minutes FC Toulouse got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Pierre Gillot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kader Brillaud got free with Rémi Dif in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Greg Magnat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hervé Tardy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanislas Royer in the 38th minute of the match. After 40 minutes FC Toulouse's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Yann Aillaud who took care of the corner kick. Honoré Weill blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hervé Tardy having to make a save. Rémi Dif took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Greg Magnat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kader Brillaud hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Samuel Viallet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

If Samuel Viallet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Greg Magnat in the 53rd minute of play forced marseïlle's goalkeeper Rémi Dif to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Kader Brillaud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danny Girouard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hervé Tardy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Viallet in the 60th minute of play. Gustave Capon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hervé Tardy having to interfere. FC Toulouse's Étienne Fayol quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Franklin Cornier, made in the 64th minute of the game. Hervé Tardy made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Samuel Viallet sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to FC Toulouse getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Étienne Fayol hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, marseïlle's Samuel Viallet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hervé Tardy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gustave Capon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Hervé Tardy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute of the match, Stanislas Royer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hervé Tardy saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kader Brillaud in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rémi Dif prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 78 minutes into the match, marseïlle's Danny Girouard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hervé Tardy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rémi Dif tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. marseïlle's Rémi Dif played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Greg Magnat in the 94th minute of play. marseïlle's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
