When Luc Werquin fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pérérréeasd's protests and gave Luc Werquin a yellow card for diving instead. Luc Werquin hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Jean-Pierre Gillot took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jean-Christophe Grosso. Pérérréeasd's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Greg Magnat had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jean-Christophe Grosso. Pérérréeasd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Greg Magnat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Louison Flour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Hervé Tardy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Kader Brillaud was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Toulouse's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pérérréeasd the free kick. After a rather tough play, Pérérréeasd's Jérémy Hannequin got a free kick in the 21st minute. Hervé Tardy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Louison Flour, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Greg Magnat in the 27th minute of play forced Pérérréeasd's goalkeeper Jean-Christophe Grosso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean-Christophe Grosso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Greg Magnat in the 28th minute of the match. After 35 minutes, Étienne Fayol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Toulouse and the Pérérréeasd players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Pérérréeasd booed when FC Toulouse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Étienne Fayol didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Pérérréeasd's Ghislain Roset got a free kick in the 38th minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Jérémy Hannequin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pérérréeasd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jérémy Hannequin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Mohamed Balme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Pérérréeasd players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Toulouse were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michaël Milin made a kick off. The supporters of Pérérréeasd booed when FC Toulouse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean-Christophe Baldy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Toulouse's zone, Michaël Milin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hervé Tardy came out of the goal and Michaël Milin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Michaël Milin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michaël Milin in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hervé Tardy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Pérérréeasd's Jean-Christophe Grosso got control of the ball when Kader Brillaud tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jean-Christophe Grosso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Greg Magnat in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Kader Brillaud ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jean-Christophe Grosso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Michaël Milin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hervé Tardy having to interfere. Jérémy Hannequin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 73 minutes, Jérémy Hannequin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pérérréeasd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jérémy Hannequin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jean-Christophe Grosso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kader Brillaud went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. A collision led to FC Toulouse getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Étienne Fayol hit a great ball. Alain Bettinger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michaël Milin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Hervé Tardy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hervé Tardy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Louison Flour, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Pérérréeasd's Luc Werquin got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Although Pérérréeasd had been in control for most of the match, FC Toulouse still came away with the win.
