A sloppy throw-in by Éluard Ridet in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Strasbourg City ⚜️'s Victor Guerra. 24 minutes into the game, Jordan Toupin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Faustin Papet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 29 minutes into the match, Strasbourg City ⚜️'s goal looked a bit too open when Zinedine Ruaud came free, but Faustin Papet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zachariasz Badanowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dylan Grasset. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zachariasz Badanowski ran back to his position shaking his head. If Zachariasz Badanowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute Antony Gimbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustin Papet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Herlies's zone, Albert Moron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dylan Grasset came out of the goal and Albert Moron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dylan Grasset made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Zachariasz Badanowski sent off a good shot on target. If Zachariasz Badanowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zachariasz Badanowski to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Herlies's Jordan Toupin got a free kick in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zachariasz Badanowski in the 60th minute of play forced Herlies's goalkeeper Dylan Grasset to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Strasbourg City ⚜️ booed when Herlies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antony Gimbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zachariasz Badanowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dylan Grasset having to interfere. If Albert Moron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dylan Grasset made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zachariasz Badanowski in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Strasbourg City ⚜️'s Zachariasz Badanowski fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal, but it hit the crossbar and went out into the crowd. Jordan Toupin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Faustin Papet made a huge save. 2-1 became the score in the 80th minute when Zachariasz Badanowski elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, César Cugnet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Strasbourg City ⚜️ booed when Herlies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Éluard Ridet didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Strasbourg City ⚜️'s Sanni Gården nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dylan Grasset made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Herlies players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Strasbourg City ⚜️.
