If Alix Mazaud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 minutes, Romeo Rocher mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nice and the FC Marines Vexin players grew even worse after the yellow card. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ali Carrera to strike the kick off in the second half. Mustapha Obrecht kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th match minute, FC Marines Vexin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilles Heude to maneuver through the defense. FC Marines Vexin's Aurélien Dubreucq played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jordan Busch in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, Nice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrice Claus to maneuver through the defense. When Jordan Busch came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Nice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jordan Busch couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Nice's Jarod Lobry got a free kick in the 95th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
