Lorenzo Seurin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matheo Carrer having to interfere. After 44 played minutes Eguisheim got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Tissot. The long shot by John-David Hennebelle in the 45th minute really tested Matheo Carrer's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Diego Thomazeau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathys Félix, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Lorenzo Seurin's late challenge caught a Eguisheim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lorenzo Seurin helped the player get up and apologised. After 54 played minutes Rouret got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Seurin. 55 minutes into the game, Fabien Lamour cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Diego Thomazeau was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Hugues Guiet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Eguisheim booed when Rouret was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. With a little luck, Rouret's Diego Thomazeau got control of the ball when Fabien Lamour tried to sneak it across the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Fabien Lamour had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diego Thomazeau. Rouret's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabien Lamour was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 76 minutes into the game, one of Rouret:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Diego Thomazeau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathys Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 97 minutes into the game, Hugues Arnal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eguisheim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rouret the free kick. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eguisheim's goalkeeper Matheo Carrer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle went the supporters of Eguisheim were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Rouret side.
