A sloppy throw-in by Salomon Depoilly in the 27th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Lampertheim's Justin Robichon. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Timothé Hauchard in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gage Keng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gage Keng stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timothé Hauchard's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. When Lampertheim's Timothé Hauchard in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nancy's goalie prevented a goal. 34 minutes into the match, Nancy's goal looked a bit too open when Timothé Hauchard came free, but Gage Keng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Nancy's Grégory Pille got a free kick in the 37th minute. Ghislain Milhau got a throw-in 41 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Grégory Pille. Lampertheim's attentive Justin Robichon managed to snatch the ball when Ghislain Milhau made a throw-in in the 44th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Timothé Hauchard in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gage Keng saved Nancy from getting behind. Claude Marcot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grégory Pille, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 47 played minutes Nancy got a freekick which was hit by Ghislain Milhau. Gage Keng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Marmin in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Timothé Hauchard was the one to do the kick off. Valentinos Leontakos kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Timothé Hauchard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Gage Keng when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lampertheim's Timothé Hauchard was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 64th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Nancy's goalkeeper Gage Keng had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timothé Hauchard. In the 72nd minute, Lampertheim's Victor Marmin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Timothé Hauchard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lampertheim's supporters rose to their feet, but Timothé Hauchard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gage Keng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the match, Victor Marmin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gage Keng, 1-3. Victor Marmin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gage Keng having to make a save. After 87 minutes, Salomon Depoilly mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nancy and the Lampertheim players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87th match minute, Nancy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salomon Depoilly to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Nancy booed when Lampertheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean Ambert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Nathanaël Gracia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Claude Marcot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match was over Lampertheim could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Nancy throughout the match.
