But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Youri Guédon couldn't finish the play. Lucien Garo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yoann Jeannet in the 14th minute of the match. PSG's Charles Prévost quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mohamed-Ali Harang, made in the 18th minute of the game. Youri Guédon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Lucien Garo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Steven Goasdoue during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, PSG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steven Goasdoue to maneuver through the defense. Stanislas Duplessis charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 33 minutes, Erwan Brillet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kergoal and the PSG players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes Kergoal got a freekick which was hit by Erwan Brillet. In the 38th match minute, PSG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steven Goasdoue to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mohamed Boule stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the game, Mohamed Boule cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jocelyn Vahirua was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ange Vadot in the 63rd minute of play forced Kergoal's goalkeeper Jocelyn Vahirua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PSG's Lucien Garo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Youri Guédon in the 68th minute of play. Jocelyn Vahirua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohamed Boule in the 69th minute of play. Charles-Emmanuel Perret kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Malcom Romieu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Jocelyn Vahirua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, PSG's Mohamed Boule nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jocelyn Vahirua made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0.
