In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kergoal's goalkeeper Jocelyn Vahirua, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 34 minutes, Charles-Emmanuel Perret mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kergoal and the oPerational Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. Amine Paolini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yoann Jeannet's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. If Yoann Jeannet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amine Paolini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yoann Jeannet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Kergoal manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing oPerational Team to win.
